Spring {and Love} Is In the Air

April 26, 2010

Last year was Earthtones first official wedding year.   This year is an eye opener in how each year in this business can be different.  By this time last year I had the majority of my weddings booked.  This year I have more total bookings, but they are trickling in later.  I’m not sure if I should attribute this to a slow economy that is gradually picking up, or maybe it’s just because spring has sprayed the air with a touch of love along with it’s blooms.   Whatever it is, my calendar is now quickly filling up.  With only so many available weeks remaining in the year, I urge people not to wait until the last minute to schedule a photographer for your wedding, or any event.

Time In a Bottle ~ West Michigan Location Photographer

March 16, 2010

Like Jim Croce sang, “If I could save time in a bottle.”….   I really would love to find a bottle that will hold and save time for me.  Running a photography business single handed is great.  I love the personal touch I can give to each and every client (warm fuzzies) and being able to keep costs down (to pass on to my clients) by keeping overhead down.   But there are drawbacks, like this blog.  It is in sorry shape, needs some tweaking and a bit of design polish, and it’s woefully underpopulated.

The good news is, I’ve added “Beach Wedding” to the galleries.  You can find it in the menu above the main header.  I have more work that needs to go up there, but for now this will have to do.

One more thing before I end here.  I would love to discover someone who is having a sunrise or sunset beach wedding ceremony, or even a nighttime beach ceremony.  It doesn’t have to be dressy or fancy.  Your wedding is just as special in beach attire as it is in a J Crew dress.  (Like the gorgeous dress the beautiful bride is wearing in the newest gallery mentioned above.)  I love being involved in “out of the ordinary”, even “off the wall” projects.  If you are having something different, not the usual, totally nontraditional, give me a call.

Since a photographers blog should have an image, I’ll leave you with one page from a beach brides wedding album.

Limited Time Discount ~ West Michigan Wedding Photographer

January 28, 2010

Any Wedding that is booked no later then 5:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2010 can enjoy a 20% discount from the final total of the Wedding coverage.  This offer does not include the optional prints or product orders but does include all final masterfully processed digital image files, which are included in the pricing.  The Wedding must be firmly booked with deposit paid to qualify.

Earthtones niche is Wedding coverage between 1 to 4 hours.  Perfect for beach, garden, intimate Weddings, or for those who don’t feel the need for full day coverage.   My hourly rates are competitive in the West Michigan Wedding market and allow for flexibility to choose how much and what kind of coverage you want.

A free engagement session is included with every Wedding booked.  Travel fee’s for the engagement session are applied to travel over 20 miles.  Or you can avoid the fee and travel to the Lowell/Ada area for the engagement session.  Prints or product from the engagement session (including digital image files) are separate.

The Beach House
